Block Mould

DDL vertical Block Moulds combine sturdy mechanical technology with advanced electronic control systems and are designed for the sintering stage of the EPS blocks.

The machine is designed to ensure steam-tightness, process stability and consistent product quality, with low power consumption.

 

The machines are manufactured in compliance with the safety standards, using certified materials and welding systems approved in accordance with European Directive 97/23/EC – P.E.D.

In the automatic mode, the block sintering process takes place in a controlled sequence:

 

  1. automatic preheating of the machine, if it is not already at operating temperature;
  2. automatic filling with pre-expanded material;
  3. differential vaporizing, controlled by stored job programs automatically recalled based on the type of material;
  4. vacuum-assisted block stabilization;
  5. block ejection.

The inner walls of the Block Mould are made from plates provided with slots, designed to allow for uniform steam distribution during the sintering stage.

This configuration also ensures ease of access that simplifies the cleaning operations.

Block Moulds can be fitted with a range of accessories to adapt the machine to the specific production and automation requirements of the installation, including:

 

  • water or dry vacuum systems;
  • modular proportional valves for steam control;
  • mixing unit;
  • marking and identification systems (inkjet or thermal adhesive labels);
  • handling and unloading systems;
  • pre-loading bins;
  • automatic density monitoring systems;
  • automated block storage systems.
